How to use a background loop

Loops are MP4 video files and stills are JPG images, so they work in the software your media team already uses.

Steps for each program

  1. ProPresenter

Drag the MP4 loop into the Media bin, then drop it on a slide or set it as a Look background. Turn on Loop in the media inspector.

  2. EasyWorship

Open Media, choose Add, and select the MP4. Use the loop as a background in a song or Scripture slide, and set it to repeat.

  3. PowerPoint

Choose Insert, then Video, then This Device. Send it to the back and set Playback to Loop until Stopped.

  4. Keynote

Drag the MP4 onto a slide, send it to the back, and in Format, Movie, set Repeat to Loop.

  5. OBS

Add a Media Source, pick the MP4 and tick Loop. Place it under your text and lyric sources.

Which size?

Menu names vary a little between program versions. Use 1080p for almost every screen and projector: it is smaller, plays smoothly on ordinary computers and looks sharp. Choose 4K only for a 4K projector or LED wall and a computer that plays 4K video. Wave and mesh designs are rendered natively in 4K. Smoke and scene designs start from AI-generated images and are upscaled to 4K, so 1080p is the default download.
