Questions about sermon posts
How do I turn a sermon into social media posts?
Upload the sermon video to Sermon Uploads and mark where the sermon starts and ends. Typically in about 15 minutes you get an Instagram caption with hashtags, a Facebook post and an X post to read, copy and share yourself.
How many posts do I get from one sermon?
Three: one Instagram caption with hashtags, one Facebook post and one X post. They are text only. Each is a draft written from the transcript of your sermon.
Does it post to Instagram, Facebook or X (Twitter) for us?
No. You copy the text and share it yourself, whenever you choose. Nothing is posted for you.
Can I use the Facebook post as a sermon recap?
Yes, once you have read it against what your pastor said. For a longer recap to send by email, see the recap email page.
Will the posts sound like our pastor?
They are drafted from what was said in the sermon, but they are drafts. Read each one, change what you like, and use only what you are happy with.
Can I edit a post, or ask for another one?
Copy the post and edit it wherever you paste it. Editors can also ask for a new version of one post, up to 5 times a day, without changing the others.
What if the sermon sits in the middle of a long service video?
Upload the whole video and mark where the sermon starts and ends. The posts are written from that part. After the upload, the recording cannot be trimmed again.
What do I upload, and how long does it take?
One video file, MP4 or MOV. The posts typically appear in about 15 minutes, along with the rest of the material from that sermon. It varies with the length of the recording.
Is it worth it if I only need posts?
The plan covers the whole sermon, not only the posts: transcript, summary, small group questions, recap email and clips too. There is a 7-day trial (card required), then plans start at US$29.95/month.
