Three Easter designs side by side: a deep red Good Friday post, a teal He is risen poster with huge white and yellow type, and a warm gold Easter invitation.

When is Easter 2027, and when should a church post?

Good Friday is 26 March 2027 and Easter Sunday is 28 March 2027. Post the invitation about four weeks out, then once on Good Friday, once on Easter morning and once in the week after.

  • Easter Sunday 2027 is 28 March, Good Friday is 26 March and Palm Sunday is 21 March. Eastern Orthodox churches keep Easter on a different date, so check your own calendar.
  • Four designs cover most of Easter: an invitation, a Good Friday post, an Easter Sunday post and a thank-you for the week after.
  • Sizes in Design: Square 1080 × 1080, Portrait 1080 × 1350 and Story 1080 × 1920, plus print sizes such as Letter for a flyer.
  • Design is free with any account, with no card needed.

In Design, export the PNG at the default Maximum quality preset (2x), or export a JPG and set its scale to 2x. Design stores print pages at 150 units per inch, so 2x is 300 DPI.

  • Bleed: art runs out here, then gets cut off
  • Trim line: where it is cut
  • Safe area: keep text inside, 0.25 in from trim

A guide, not a printer spec. Bleed of 0.125 in and a 0.25 in safe area are the values Design uses. Printers such as 4over4 ask for text at least 0.125 in inside the trim, and some ask for 3 mm of bleed. Check your printer's own template before you order. Pixels are size in inches times DPI, rounded.

Computes the trim size, the size with 0.125 in bleed, the pixel dimensions at 150 or 300 DPI, the 0.25 in safe-area inset and the aspect ratio for the print sizes Design offers or a custom size. The default is US Letter at 300 DPI with bleed: 8.5 × 11 in trim, 8.75 × 11.25 in with bleed, and 2625 × 3375 px. The preview is captioned as a sample flyer for a fictional church, with placeholder church name and address. In Design, a PNG at the default 2x scale, or a JPG set to 2x, is 300 DPI.

An Easter posting plan for the four weeks before and the week after.

Four posts to make and post yourself, in the order people need them. Dates are for 2027.

  1. From Sunday 28 February

    The invitation

Four weeks out, one clear invite: the Easter service times, the address and who is welcome. Add a flyer for people to hand out.

  2. Friday 26 March

    Good Friday

A quiet, reflective post for the day, with the service time if you hold one. Keep it simple: one line and one date.

  3. Sunday 28 March

    Easter Sunday

A bold "He is risen" post for the morning, with the times for each service. Post it early so people see it before they leave home.

  4. From Monday 29 March

    The week after

Thank people for coming, share one line from the message and tell visitors what is next. Easter visitors often return the next Sunday.
